Hygiene Team
Ashlei
Ashlei attended the University of Colorado Boulder prior to completing the CCD Lowry Dental Hygiene Program, where she graduated in 2013. A true outdoorsy gal, she enjoys snowboarding in the winter as well as hiking and camping in the summer! Ashlei has two golden retrievers named Charlie & Oliver. They love peanut butter and long hikes. She married her husband in 2015 and they both share a love for live music & travel! Outside of the dental office, Ashlei pursues her love for singing and playing the acoustic guitar! Ashlei is great at connecting with her patients and loves helping them achieve a healthy Colegate smile!
Karen
Karen has a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a Bachelor of Science in Hygiene from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center School of Dentistry where she also received the Clinical Excellence Award. She has been practicing hygiene for 30+ years, six of which were spent working in a periodontal office with a focus on periodontal therapy. Karen has worked for Ken Caryl Dental Center on and off since 1997. She truly enjoys meeting patients and developing a strong relationship with them alongside maintaining their oral health. Her goal with each patient is to be as thorough as possible with their needed treatment, while offering suggestions to improve or maintain their best oral hygiene efforts. When not at the office, Karen can be found spending time with her family golfing or traveling.
Laurie
Laurie is a dental hygienist with nearly two decades of experience, graduation in 2007. Born and raised in Michigan, she moved to Colorado in 2008 and has embraced the mountain lifestyle ever since. Laurie is passionate about providing compassionate care and helping patients feel comfortable while building lasting relationships through education and trust. She takes pride in creating positive experiences for very patient and supporting long-term oral health. Outside of the office, Laurie enjoys time with her husband and two children, making the most of Colorado’s outdoors. Whether at their mountain cabin, traveling in their RV, or exploring national parks, she loves hiking, camping, fishing, backpacking, and snowmobiling in the backcountry.
Vanessa
Vanessa received her Associates degree in Dental Hygiene from the Community College of Denver and her Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Exercise Science from Colorado State University. During her educational career she was awarded the Roberta L. Shaklee Periodontal Excellence Award and has received certification in periodontal laser therapy. Her ability to connect with her patients has allowed her to coach them through decisions that benefit their oral and systemic health. Having participated in Dentistry From the Heart and working for Denver Health, she was able to provide care to low-income families and patients with complicated medical needs. At home, she loves walking her two Siberian huskies and cooking up delicious concoctions in her kitchen. You may also run into her supporting local breweries around town.
Assisting Team
Jammi
Jammi has been involved in dentistry since 1999 and enjoys being able to help people take care of their dental needs. Her ability to foster a comforting environment for our patients (and staff!) has made her an invaluable member of Dr. Goral’s team for many years. Jammi has received extensive training on our E4D crown-making software and was honored to accompany Dr. Goral to Vail in 2013 to assist him with an important presentation on 3D imaging equipment, software, and procedures. Outside of the office, Jammi enjoys tending to her home garden and spending time with her husband, two boys and their two dogs. Jammi is also and exceptional cook and loves cheering on Colorado sports.
Mark
Mark joined our dental assisting team in 2023, after completing hiking the Appalachian Trail. Born and raised in New Jersey, Mark received his bachelor’s degree at Rowan University in 2016 and has spent most of his professional career in the non-profit sector with a focus on communications and tech. Now, when Mark isn’t camping, snowboarding or spending time at Chatfield with his girlfriend, you can find him hard at work in the dental assisting chair with a welcoming smile and helping hands.
Breanna
Breanna joined our team in 2022 and has since grown into a skilled and confident EDDA. From the start, her enthusiasm for dentistry and dedication to learning have truly stood out. With her warm smile and caring demeanor, she quickly became a patient favorite, helping people feel comfortable and supported throughout their visit. Outside of the office, Breanna enjoys spending time with her family, doting on her beloved cat, crafting and exploring her passion for culinary arts. We’re grateful to have her as part of our team and love watching her continue to shine.
Brittany
Britany has been transforming smiles since 2010, bringing over a decade of experience and a genuine passion for dentistry to every patient she meets. After relocating from the Midwest, Brittany and her family made Colorado their home. She’s excited to share her expertise and warm approach with our patients at Ken Caryl Dental Center. When she’s not in the office, you’ll find her at a Denver Nuggets basketball game or outdoors with her husband and two daughters-hiking, camping, paddle boarding, or practicing yoga. Brittany’s dedication to her craft and her patients shines through in everything she does.
Raina
Raina has spent her career helping patients overcome their dental fear and anxiety, and she continues to find deep fulfillment in providing a calm, supportive experience. After graduating with honors at the top of her class from Everest College in 2010, she began working as a dental assistant, where she quickly became known for her comforting approach and patient-focused education. With a background in competitive gymnastics, Raina brings the same discipline, energy and dedication to both her work and her life outside of the office. She enjoys staying active through snowboarding, hiking and keeping up with her growing son’s and husband.
Admin Team
Amanda
Amanda is our office manager and plays a key role in creating the organized, welcoming and supportive environment our patient and team rely on every day. With a Bachelor of Science and Marketing degree from Metro State University, she has worked in the dental field since 2004. Her calm presence, strong communication skills and genuine care for others help keep the office running smoothly, even on the busiest days. Outside of the office, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and son- often camping, mountain biking, or off-roading together. She also loves gardening, traveling, and catching live music at local venues. Her blend of experience, leadership and genuine enthusiasm makes her an essential part of our team.
MacKenzie
MacKenzie is the warm smile that greets you and the friendly voice on the phone in her role as Business Assistant. Before joining the dental field, she worked as a Medical Assistant across a variety of specialties, including family medicine and rheumatology. While dentistry is a new chapter in her career, she has truly enjoyed expanding her knowledge of oral health and is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and cared for. Mackenzie is dedicated to ensuring every patient’s experience is a positive one, with their happiness and well-being always her top priority. Outside of the office, she loves spending time with her husband and family. Together, they enjoy traveling to the beaches in the Florida Keys & Hawaii, hiking scenic Colorado trails, and paddle boarding at Chatfield State Park whenever they get the chance.
